Are you still enjoying summer?
What is your favorite part of summer?
When you talk to people from different parts of the country they
all have different things that they like about summer.

(***Note at the end of this post is a recipe for Grilled Peaches***)
What tops your list of the most enjoyable times?

Here are some of the activities I hear the most about.

Of course there is boating and fishing. What about
backyard grilling and barbecuing? Now there are several
treats just for summer as far as fresh fruits and veggies,
and most can be grilled even though you never thought about
doing that.

Some people set up elaborate areas for their summer cooking
season. Do you ever walk into your favorite outdoor store and
see all the ideas you can get for setting up your grilling area?

People who love to grill and barbecue love to get gifts that go
along with it. Perhaps a nice bottle of wine, or some sauces, or
marinades, or salsas for the spicey foods.

Here are some ebay gift ideas for your grilling experience, or
to get a friend as a gift.

There are several great recipe books out now. Use my link
to get a nice book or perhaps a great salsa collection.

***Ok here is the grilled peach recipe.

Ingredients:

* Peaches, 1 for each person You want fresh peaches for this not canned or frozen.
* 1/2 cup sherry vinegar or balsamic vinegar….More people are liking this with balsamic
* 1/4 cup brown sugar…You can substitute 2 tablespoons of honey if you want
* juice of 1 lemon…average sized fresh lemon or about 1/8 cup to 1/4 cup concentrate
* 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Preparation:
Cut the fresh peaches in halve, remove pits. Leave the skin on the peaches.
Drizzle with about 2 teaspoons of the lemon juice. Cover with plastic wrap and set aside.

In a small saucepan, combine vinegar, brown sugar, remaining lemon juice and black pepper. Boil until reduced by about 1/2.

Place peaches cut-side down on a hot lightly oiled grill. Cover and cook for about 2 minutes, or until there are grill marks. This is a fast process so be sure to
stand by the grill when doing this.
Turn the peaches over and baste the cut sides with the vinegar mixture.
Cover the grill and cook for about 3 more minutes, or until softened.

This is an awesome dessert and you can add some ice cream to it, and crumble up
some gram crackers for a crunch, or add some of your favorite nuts to it.

This is a summer time grilling treat the whole family will love.

Yummy! Enjoy!
